Investment Company Litexco was founded in 1989, coinciding with the fall of the Berlin Wall. Its aim was to find investment opportunities mainly in the emerging economies of Eastern Europe and, to a lesser extent, in the more mature economies of the Mediterranean countries of Europe. If at first, this venture could have been considered risky, time and the European ambition of the citizens of those countries have confirmed our business strategy.
The regions of Eastern Europe have recorded spectacular economic growth levels; their governments have worked hard to incorporate the “acquis” of the European Union; and their economic growth offers multiple and attractive business opportunities. The social and political revolution in the South American cone, provoked by the crisis at the beginning of the new century, helped Litexco recognise that region as a new territory which, due to its emerging peculiarities, was, in some aspects, reminiscent of the economic reality and the opportunities arisen in the countries of Eastern Europe during the last decade.
The constancy over these years has given us a privileged position within the investor community of each of these new markets. With this attitude, based on loyalty, we have gained general recognition among the official institutions, associations, companies and economic and financial media.
The results obtained so far form the solid bases upon which the preservation of our philosophy and our medium to long-term investment activities are based.
